Woodcote High School

During his NQT (Newly Qualified Teacher) year at Woodcote High School in Coulsdon, Surrey, Adam – Katie’s brother – organised a house assembly to raise awareness of the dangers of carbon monoxide. The assembly was delivered by the Head of House, and her experience, subject specialism in science and rapport with the pupils, resulted in a successful assembly in which pupils learnt of the dangers of carbon monoxide. The pupils watched a recording of Katie’s parents´ 2012 interview on Sky news and were then given a short presentation by the Head of House to further outline the dangers. The video and presentation were then forwarded on to other Heads of Houses to use in their fortnightly assemblies.

If you have contact with a school, perhaps you could suggest to them to do something similar.
