Swishing Event

A Swishing Event was held at the Osborne Samuel Gallery, Bruton Street, London to raise money for Katie’s Trust – raising a fantastic total of £2,900. In case you haven’t heard about this latest craze, Swishing brings ladies together to swap gorgeous clothes and accessories and the chance to mingle and chat at the same time. 80 ladies paid £20 for a ticket, which included wine and amazing canapés kindly provided by renowned chef, Phil Howard from The Square restaurant in Mayfair.  Children’s TV presenter and star of Deadly 60, Steve Backshall, and lifelong friend of Richard Haines, spoke about the aims of the Trust before handing out a range of raffle prizes, including a coffee maker presented by DeLongi.  There was also a silent auction which included some gorgeous shoes donated by top designer Rupert Sanderson. After a great night out, all the ladies went home with some lovely items and a goody bag which included an audible carbon monoxide detector to spread the word about how important it is to have one – it saves lives.
