Katie Haines Memorial Trust is supporting Gas Safety Week 2023

Gas Safety Week will be taking place 11th-17th September 2023. Celebrating its thirteenth year, this pan-industry event sees everyone coming together for one common goal — keeping the nation gas safe.

Everyone coming together for one common goal — keeping the nation gas safe.

Anyone who uses gas in their home needs to be aware of the gas risks and how to keep safe. Badly fitted and poorly serviced gas appliances and installations can cause gas leaks, fires, explosions, and carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. To keep your household running safely we recommend you have your gas appliances checked every year by a qualified Gas Safe registered engineer. If you rent your home this is your landlord’s responsibility.

Join thousands of others and be part of this national safety campaign.

Here are some of the reasons why supporters take part:

  • Corporate social responsibility – help protect your customers and save lives. Carbon monoxide poisoning affects over a thousand people each year and can be fatal.
  • Looking for new content? You can use the free gas safety materials as part of your own advertising campaign. These will be available to download nearer the time.
  • Improve your brand awareness – tell us what you’re doing to support the campaign and we’ll aim to share as many supporters’ activities as we can on Twitter, in the campaign roundup report, and in our registered engineer magazine.
  • We had fantastic support for Gas Safety Week 2021, and previous 10 years – don’t miss out to your competitors.

Each year we provide a free toolkit full of materials to help you support the week, including social media updates, images, articles, web banners and much more. Simply pledge your support via the button at the top of the page and the toolkit will be sent to you by email.
