Gareth Thomas MP urging Harrow residents to protect themselves from carbon monoxide

Gareth Thomas MP has urged Harrow residents to protect themselves against the potential threat of Carbon Monoxide poisoning. New research from the Carbon Monoxide – Be Alarmed! campaign has found that 35 million households in the UK could be at risk of poisoning if they do not have an audible alarm in their home.

Gareth Thomas MP is supporting the Carbon Monoxide – Be Alarmed! campaign which encourages people to ensure they have an audible Carbon Monoxide alarm and that they have all fuel-burning appliances serviced annually by a registered and qualified engineer.

Gareth Thomas MP, said: “As carbon monoxide has no smell, colour or taste, installing an audible alarm that sounds when the gas is present is the only way to make sure you are protected. I am urging every resident in Harrow to make sure they are protected by installing an audible carbon monoxide alarm. They are readily available in supermarkets and DIY shops across Harrow or you can order one directly from your energy supplier.”
