Blue Lamp Trust
In December 2019 we read about a crowdfunding campaign by the Blue Lamp Trust to raise £7,500 to purchase a year’s worth of Carbon Monoxide Monitors. They do a fantastic job and we felt we could help most by donating 250 CO alarms to them.
Here is the response from Theresa Pratt, General Manager, The Blue Lamp Trust: “Each year the Bobby Scheme fits about 600 carbon monoxide detectors to homes in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. In 2019 our sponsor for carbon monoxide detectors could no longer supply us, so we turned to crowd funding. As part of this we contacted the Katie Haines Trust and they very generously supplied us with 250 carbon monoxide detectors. This along with other donations and support has meant we can continue to supply carbon monoxide detectors to the most vulnerable.”
