The Wokingham Netball Club, to which Katie belonged, is having a stand at the Wokingham Winter Carnival and, as well as raising money for their Club, they plan to raise awareness of the dangers of CO poisoning by selling detectors at a reduced price, by posters and by speaking to people directly visiting their stand.
In memory of their late colleague Katie, and as part of Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week, the Oxford University press and information office team is holding a sale of carbon monoxide detectors at a discounted rate to University staff.

What an amazing response, the team sold 280 detectors to staff! They plan to do a separate drive with students. They also hope to do a sale at Oxford’s medical campus just outside the city. No wonder Katie was so happy working with this fantastic group of people.
